Here is a poster we also made.
Today was world book day and we had to come in black and white. I came in black. We did The Harlem Shake and it was great fun. Mr Connor said he will put it on this Blog and I would love to see it. As well as that Mrs Kearney came in and read a story to us. She read to us a very funny story and we had to copy it. That is what we did this morning.
This is my 500 word challange and I wanted to show you so here it is;
One day, a girl called Rosie found two kittens. She did not know what to do because they were tied up in a bag ,so she thought who was cruel enough to do this? Rosie took the bag gently home and cut it open. Rosie examined the kittens and they had a collar on them, so she rang the number on the collar. They were the crazy cat lady’s over the other side of the street. Rosie thought that if she kept them then she would not have to go the crazy cat lady’s house again and have the cats business on her sandwiches. The kittens were only small so she had to feed them with milk.
She went to the shop and bought this special milk. Rosie thought she should feed them with a tiny bottle, so she did. Rosie knew something was happening because one of them was bigger than the other. She asked her mum to take her to the vets and it turned out that they were not from the same litter of kittens so they could have babies. She knew that they were having to keep lots of cats so she wanted to have a building for them and it could be luxury for the cats.
A couple days later, the kittens were born so they had to name them. There were now 8 cats in the house. Rosie called the older two cats Sienna and Mo and the younger six, Billy, Molly, Millie, Buster, Beryl and Whiskers. She chose those names from a website because she couldn’t come up with names cute enough to call them. Rosie went to the shop and brought home a lot of toys for the kittens to play with. The kittens loved them. The kittens were teething so she had to give them proper food. One day she came home from school and …the cats had pooped all over her best dress so she went mad but her mum let her order another one.
There was nothing bad about the kittens except that one thing and they did it for a reason and that reason was; their litter-tray was dirty.By the time the cats were 2 months old, the building was built and it was masive, because it was masive they made 3 bedrooms and two other rooms for them and the rest for the cats.
They moved out of there house but something happened. One of the cats were missing. They searched everywhere but her cats was nowhere to be found. They found it in the end and it was in one of the moving boxes. From then her friends always came round to play and never wanted to go home because it was so big. They loved to talk about things like cats, boys and much more. They loved to play with the cats,Rosie’s toys and her new baby brother, baby James. They had a happy life from then. They never wanted it to end.
On Friday we were refreshing our memories about the Great Fire of London – why, when, how and where it started, as well as exploring the reasons why it spread so quickly.
We worked in pairs to interview characters who were there on those fateful days in 1666. Some children wanted to be Samuel Pepys, others were Thomas Farriner, while there was some great role-playing and imagination from children who put themselves into the situation.
Can you guess who is who?
My cats ( Little Mo and Sienna ) where done so they can’t have babies because Mo is a boy and Sienna is a girl and Mo can make her pregnant, anyway they where done 2 weeks ago tomorrow.
Today is a special day because it is the day they fully recovered and little Mo did not have a cone on but Sienna did. I think that is unfair, Do you?? I love my cats to bits and today I cuddled Sienna because it is the first time in two weeks I could. I hope you enjoyed my news and I will tell you more when something about them happens. Thank you for reading!!
Today we had a Christmas party and we brought in our own clothes to wear them. We played a couple of games and we had lost of fun. After all that, we had some food and drinks. We danced to Gang-man style and lost more. The funny thing was though the boys sang and danced and the girls did dancing but not singing. We had a great time and thank you for the teachers to make that happen.
Last week, the children made their chocolates that they had been planning for quite some time!
Today, they began using their Literacy skills to plan a persuasive presentation which will take place on Thursday. Using a speech, a poster and a slideshow, the children must convince the dragons (the teachers!) that their chocolate is the most unique.
Here are some early efforts; what do you think?
One day there was a box and its owners name was Rosie and they where both magic. That same day Rosie found a lady who had the secret words to stop the machine. The words made the girl think as poor as she is, she could say what she wanted and it would come true but she was only allowed one wish every 5 minutes so she could say the words. One day later, a man came and stole it in the night .He did not know the words so he can not stop it. This was the end of him.
This maths challenge was by me (Chiara),Annabel.M,Francesca and Maria.
Our challenge was to use the numbers 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 in that order. We could add, subtract, multiply or divide and we had to find a way to make 464.
We had to do lost of different ways but then I came up with this way and we thought that it was very easy and my family and maria’s family and them both could not work it out.
We did itlike this: 10×9=90+8+7+6+5=116 x4=464 -3 +2+1=464
This was very easy and we hope we can do it again.
